Tranquil Counseling

About Me

“You are allowed to be both a masterpiece and a work in progress, simultaneously.”
– Sophia Bush

Hi, I'm Abena.

My journey into mental health began with a passion for understanding the human experience. I studied Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Malone University, and a personal experience led me to train as a Death Doula with INELDA.

I founded Tranquil to offer a holistic approach to therapy, guided by the “Root to 3” formula: Accepted, Loved, and Empowered. This approach means creating a safe space where you can face your experiences with compassion, find support, and build resilience.

I work with concerns like depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and Bipolar disorder, and offer end-of-life support as a Death Doula. Using somatic techniques from yoga and physical therapy, I help integrate mental and physical healing.

At Tranquil, I’m dedicated to walking alongside you, helping you find strength, and embracing your story.

For me, this is more than a profession—it’s a calling.
